Sandcastle Beach Resort LLC

Wonderful stay for our family reunion in August. We had 3 of the cottages, 3 suites and the big house. Everything was fabulous ...... the beach, the bonfires, the sandy playground for the kids ..... we loved it! Hoping to make this a yearly destination. Thank you for a wonderful time.

You have to appreciate this place for what it is. It is not fancy or polished but that adds to its charms. The owners are wonderfully polite and personable. The rooms and resort are small but full of character and are very comfortable. The location is awesome. We made a point of watching the sunrise every morning. It was different & beautiful each day. My family loved sitting on the beach around the fire. My toddler daughter spent her time playing in the sand and on the playground. My teenagers went swimming, read books, & played games. It was a great trip and we wanted to stay longer. We loved our visit and plan to return.

Everything was excellent. This was our 1st time staying at this property. The property is clean & well maintained. The cottages are very clean and well stocked. We had 7 people in our group and stayed in the beach house. Very clean beach with lots to do. Our family enjoyed everything from the games/activities provided on the beach to the vast seating options to relax and unwind. Made some new friends and we are all hoping to return during the same week next year. The owners are very nice people and wonderful to work with. Thank you for your hospitality !!

We take a Michigan beach vacation every year. Usually on the west side of the state. This year we tried somewhere new. After a glowing recommendation from a friend we stayed here. They told us it was a small little family friendly beach hotel nothing to fancy but right on the water. This place was fantastic! We went the second weekend in Aug and it seemed like perfect timing. The resort didn’t seem busy and everyone was super friendly. We were greeted by the owners when we checked in and they told us to let them know if we had any issues We stayed in their corner suite so we had a little private deck to ourselves away from the crowd and just enjoyed the view. We enjoyed ourselves so much we plan on staying again next year!

Great place on the lake! We are a family of four with 4 year-old boys, and the larger cabin (that sleep 6) worked great for us. Cabins are small and simple, but were clean and well equipped. Definitely not luxury by any means (5-star rating doesn't mean 5-star accommodations), but perfectly fine. The beach area was perfect for families. Lots of things for the kids to do, and everything is right there so it was easy to keep an eye on them. The owners really thought of everything you could need. Tons of chairs, fire pit, plenty of picnic tables, grills, and grilling utensils. Access to the water is a small area, but that wasn't a problem. We would definitely come back!

This place was beautiful, the website doesn't do it justice. Check in was our only issue: we had two cabins (largest one and one of the others). We arrived early and they weren't ready and we were fine with that: no problem at all. However the lady at check in made it seem like we were an absolute chore and was very visibly frustrated by us. We were confused but simply asked if there was a restroom we could use instead (3hr drive for a bunch of us) and this just put her off so much. We didn't push the issue, let her do her thing, and simply waited for our cabins. How do you work in customer service and treat people like that? We were cordial and did nothing more than let her know we arrived and asked politely to use a restroom. Other than that: excellent place, view, activities. Great for the kids and parents both. The place was clean and everyone there strived to keep it that way. Fun community feel, people joined us at the bonfires, we shared BBQ, and made some friends. Will definitely consider this place again for another family trip

I stayed here over the weekend in one of the suites. It was perfect! We ended up arriving later than expected and the owners accommodated us. Check in was simple. Tom greeted us and he was super friendly. He made us feel very welcomed. Rooms were clean. We were able to have beach fires at night. During the day we played sand volleyball, cornhole, and was able to hang out in Lake Huron. Everything you need for a peaceful yet fun getaway is here!! Highly HIGHLY Recommend!1
